We promise you a magical view from morning to night. Our youth hostel overlooks the Saint Lawrence River from right in the middle of the town. Without stepping outside, you can sip micro-brews and savour local dishes on a terrace with a view of the river. Our bistro-pub is also part of the Flavour Trail. Whatever your budget, a cozy room awaits you. Count on us to help you discover the activities that Charlevoix offers, like sea kayaking, whale-watching cruises and hikes in the breathtaking Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie and Grands-Jardins national parks.

We’re part of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve and we’re a member of organizations like “Ici on recycle”, Aventure éco tourisme Québec and the Charlevoix Flavour Trail. We go way beyond just recycling. We’re all about buying local, discovering epic natural spaces and keeping involved with the community. We continuously seek ways to reduce our footprint, and because we’re not shy about this, we publish our Bilan Carbone every year. We’ve earned our rep as a youth hostel that’s a model for sustainable tourism, and that warms our hearts.

Enjoy local flavours within walking distance
Savour a local specialty with a nice micro-brew on the bistro-pub terrace and take the Flavour Trail. This foodie fave runs from Petite-Rivière-Saint-François and up to La Malbaie. A tasteful way to meet up with local producers and savour their delectable products.
Get out in the fresh air in a national park
Thirty minutes by car from the hostel is one of Québec’s most breathtaking natural spaces. The Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park is home to the famous Acropole-des-Draveurs trail. After an intense 5-km ascent, you’re rewarded with a spectacular view of the Malbaie River Valley and neighbouring mountains.
Follow the St. Lawrence Route
This panoramic 78-kilometre route along the Saint Lawrence River is one of the most beautiful outings in North America. And for good reason. It crosses the regions of Charlevoix and Baie-Saint-Paul through L’Isle-aux-Coudres and arrives at La Malbaie. By bicycle or car, discover adorably quaint villages and bask in spectacular landscapes.
